In 2013 I uploaded my first song to YouTube. It was a song I wrote and produced called "Cold Tide".

Little did I know this would lead to a life of pursuing music production and writing.

I fell in love with FL Studio after I learned how to automate parameters. I began uploading music under the alias CAPTPIZZA.

I slowly gained recognition on SoundCloud and garnered a community of fans that supported my music production. The music was mostly vocal sample-based, and could be described as organic electronic.

I organically amassed 6,000 followers before most music consumers moved to Spotify and Apple Music.

CAPTPIZZA achieved more musical and commercial success than I expected. My production was premiered on DYNMK (600k subs on YouTube), and reposted by big SoundCloud accounts like Chill Trap Records.

I attracted followers and comments from Masego, Louis the Child, AndreaLo, Jengi, Yukibeb (Soulection), and more!

My biggest successes by far were producing for other artists. I produced Afterblunts by Shy Lennox, which currently has 4 million plays on Spotify and Apple.

I also produced one of Phora's biggest songs, I Think I Love You which has 65 million plays!

As the music climate has evolved, so have I, and I have since departed from my project CAPTPIZZA. I am now releasing my own music through my current moniker, Lofties.
